Our Aqueous Ascophyllum nodosum extract offers great compatibility with calcium and acidic mix partners with a pH lower than 4. This makes it easy to use with other mix partners that have a slightly acidic pH range of 4.5-6.0, without the need for pH adjustment. This compatibility ensures no blocked nozzles or filters.
2 mL of seaweed extract was added to 250 mL calcium nitrate (2% w/v) solution and mixed for 2 minutes. Our Aqueous Extract mixes incredibly well with unchelated calcium to create a uniform solution free of any flocculation or precipitates. The presence of these precipitates is significant with other commercial seaweed extracts and can lead to blockages in filters and spray nozzles.
